Here, we take time to tend.

Tended Living is a space devoted to the practice of tending, to ourselves, to one another and to the conversations that shape how we live together.

Here, coaching meets the slow, steady work of tending. Through meditation, reflective conversation and deep listening, we create grounded spaces where the body can soften, the breath can settle, and clarity can begin to grow at its own pace.

People arrive here in different ways.

For women in mid-life, Tended Living offers one-to-one meditation coaching; a gentle, supportive space to pause, listen inwardly, and navigate seasons of transition with greater clarity and care.

Alongside this, Tended Living also offers ‘Turning Towards One Another’ - conversations in community designed for anyone, at any stage of life, who wishes to slow down, listen more deeply, and engage in meaningful, human conversation.

At the heart of this work is the same intention: to create spaces where attention can be given to what is needed, insight can emerge and growth for ourselves and our communities is enabled to unfold in its own time.

What if tending yourself became part of the care you offer to others?

For women navigating the the second half of life

Sometimes mid-life invites us to pause, not because a complete transformation is required, but because so much has already been carried and life might be calling you to put some things down, or indeed to follow a new path.

You may notice it in small moments; how quickly your kids have grown up, catching your reflection in a mirror, realising that life has been moving around you at full speed while your own needs have quietly waited their turn. Perhaps the children need you less now, or your parents need you more. Perhaps something important has ended, or something new is trying to unfold and you can’t yet see its shape.

There can be a sense of being pulled in many directions, while wondering:

Where do I fit in all of this now?
What is mine to tend next?

This space is for women who recognise that question beginning to rise up in themselves: women who are tired of pushing through, who are curious about a gentler way, and who sense that caring for themselves might be part of how they continue to care for others.

You don’t need to have a plan, or know what comes next.
You only need the willingness to pause, listen inwardly, and come back to you.

For those curious about turning towards one another

There are moments in time when what’s needed is not answers or striving to fix things, but space with one another; space to listen, to speak honestly, and to meet one another with curiosity rather than certainty.

Turning Towards One Another is an invitation into shared reflection. It offers conversation starters inspired by the work of Margaret Wheatley designed to help people slow down, become present and practice using the tools that it takes to engage more thoughtfully in community. These are not discussions to solve or persuade, but conversations that allow meaning to emerge through listening.

In a world that often rushes toward judgement and performance, this work creates room for something different: attention, respect, and the courage to remain open to one another.

This space is for anyone who senses that how we speak to and listen to one another, shapes how we live together. It is for anyone who is curious about tending the quality of our shared conversations as carefully as we tend ourselves.

How we might begin

One to One Meditation Coaching

A space to slow down, listen inwardly, and tend to what is already here.

These one-to-one sessions are created especially for women in mid-life. We bring together meditation, reflective conversation and deep listening, creating room for clarity and insight to unfold in their own time. There is no rush, no performance, and no pressure, only gentle guidance and a presence alongside you as you navigate this chapter and begin to imagine what comes next.

Turning Towards One Another

Small, guided conversations in community grounded in presence, curiosity, and deep listening.

We gather around thoughtful questions, not to fix or debate, but to practice staying with what arises, and to experience what becomes possible when we listen to and turn towards one another.

  • “Lisa epitomizes what it means to integrate one’s interior journey and power with ones actions toward creating change. By weaving meditation through the coaching process, Lisa facilitated my personal discoveries and assisted me in creating the change that deepened my work and sharpened my awareness.”

  • “Lisa has opened up the world of meditation to me with her guiding voice and knowledge. I particularly enjoy learning about the different routes to meditation. I always look forward to her classes and come away feeling much more in tune with myself. Lisa sets the scene with the perfect blend of focus and relaxation.”

    —Louise Hotchkiss, Surrey, UK

  • "I so enjoyed my meditation sessions with Lisa.  She is so welcoming and friendly, you feel relaxed and unselfconscious straight away.  Lisa was always gave a very clear explanation about what each session was about and then we put it into practise.  I loved trying the different meditation methods and working out what works best for me.  Every Friday I looked forward to the time for me and to the calm feeling that meditation brings.  Afterwards, I often felt more focussed and grounded and able to cope with the day ahead in a calmer, more productive way.”

    —Shân McCormick, Surrey, UK

  • “I have always been fairly sceptical about meditation, always imagining it as a practice reserved for people more ‘spiritual’ than me, however, after attending a few sessions with Lisa I have changed my mind. Lisa explains it as a practical and effortless thing to do each day, something which anyone can learn to do to improve both their emotional and physical wellbeing.  Whilst in meditation Lisa helped me to put busy thoughts to the back of my mind and to really enjoy and relax into the present moment, I would leave the session feeling calm and ready for the day.  Highly recommend!”

About Lisa

I’m Lisa, a certified Meditation Coach and a member of the Meditation Coaching Alliance drawn to the quieter slower spaces where people are able to find the space to come back to themselves in the context of our busy lives and often chaotic world. I love seeing what unfolds when we pause long enough to really listen to ourselves and to one another and to what those little whispers of life are asking of us next.

Through Tended Living, my work takes two forms. I offer one to one meditation coaching for women in mid-life as they navigate change and finding their way into the chapter of the second half of life. Alongside this I also facilitate conversations in community for anyone who wants to bring more presence, curiosity and care into the way they connect with one another.

My work comes from the instinct that many of us are looking for something other than fixing or striving and are craving the feeling of tending and the peace and delight that comes from this place and practice.

Alongside Tended Living, I also run The Gathered Garden Studio, an art and gardening-led practice grounded in regenerative practices, patience, and creating things slowly. Together, these two spaces reflect different expressions of the same values: tending what is living, honouring natural rhythms, and nursing the possibility of renewal within ourselves, in our relationships and in the wider world we belong to.
